What to Expect

It has been a while since I last worked out. Where should I start?

You’ve come to the right place and you’re in good company! We are the most modification-friendly studio. We’re here to guide you through class with thoughtful movements, hands-on support, and guidance that empowers you to tune inward and set your own pace.

What do I need to bring to class?

Come as you are! This isn’t a stuffy or cliquey fitness studio. We embrace and celebrate your personal style! Come in comfortable clothing to work out in. Bring a pair of socks - grip socks are recommended, which are available for purchase. We also strongly encourage you to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get set up for success, connect with your instructor, and go over your body’s needs prior to class.

What is Barre?

Barre is truly the most effective, efficient and sustainable full body workout on earth! Barre takes the best from yoga, Pilates, physical therapy and ballet to create a class that is low-impact, high-intensity, and form focused! Movements are designed to promote muscular endurance and mobility in a way that few other workouts can. Classes never get easier, you just get stronger! You'll be amazed by how you continue to progress in your posture, alignment, agility, and strength.

Do I need to have a background in ballet or other sports to succeed?

No former experience is required. Barre is for every BODY. If this is your first Barre workout, or you have had a long hiatus, you're in good company. Whether you're currently exercising regularly or infrequently, you will be supported here to take the class at your own pace and listen to your body throughout class.

I have a past injury/contraindication/am pregnant. Is this workout safe for me?

Yes! This is not only safe but also one of the most effective workouts for you. We welcome students who are pregnant or postpartum, upon clearance from your health practitioner. Our exercises can be modified in many ways, and your instructor is eager to provide you with the support you need!

Modifications can also be made to suit various injuries, ailments, and health conditions. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to your first class, so that you can connect with your instructor and let them know about your body's needs. With our safe and sustainable classes, you are in good hands.
